Fun Fact: Becky is so technologically skilled that she often serves as the company’s tech troubleshooter.
Becky O’farrell took a different path to design.
After graduating from Mary Washington College with a degree in fine art, Becky got her first job as a paste-up artist. Later, she moved into customer service roles at Carter Printing Company and Byrd Press.

From there, she moved to The Cadmus Color Center, which was one of Richmond’s first companies offering desktop publishing services, and the first time Becky had ever used a Mac. It was here that Becky got hooked on design.
In 1998, Capital One hired Becky as a graphic artist. She moved into a management role for a time, but knew that her true love was in producing the creative work itself. In late 2007, Becky’s department was outsourced to RR Donnelley, where she worked on location at Capital One for more than five years as a strategic partner and vendor in the dual roles of account manager and graphic artist.
Becky began working on an as-needed design basis for Rhudy & Co. in 2005 but soon became the company’s first designer and now serves with two others on the Design Practice Team. She loves building interactivity into her designs and her work includes website and logo design, HTML emails, ads, direct mail, brochures, newsletters and anything else she can conceive.
